Job Description.
The Bank Guarantee Specialist plays a crucial role in managing and overseeing all aspects related to bank guarantees, letters of credit, and other financial instruments issued by banks. This role requires close collaboration with financial institutions, clients, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities.
1. Bank Guarantee Management.
- Review, analyze, and process bank guarantee requests from clients/government departments.
- Coordinate with banks to issue, amend, or cancel bank guarantees as per client/government requirements.
- Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to terms and conditions.
- Monitor bank guarantee expiry dates and initiate renewals on a timely basis.
2. Fixed Deposit Management.
- Coordinate with banks to create fixed deposits for margin at B.G or cancel the Fixed Deposit.
- Monitor fixed deposit due dates for timely renewal and track the best interest rate.
- Keep track of FDs linked to margin, collaterals, Term Loan, and CC Limits.
3. Liaison with Banks.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with banks and financial institutions.
- Communicate effectively with bank representatives to resolve any issues related to bank guarantees.
- Check terms and conditions with banks to optimize guarantee fees and minimize costs.
- Stay informed about changes in banking regulations and industry practices.
4. Documentation and Compliance.
- Prepare and review legal documents related to bank guarantees.
- Ensure compliance with local governing bank guarantees.
- Maintain accurate records of all bank guarantee transactions.
5. Reporting.
- Generate regular reports on bank guarantee utilization, outstanding balances, and performance metrics.
- Present data to management for strategic decision-making.
Qualifications.
- MBA (Finance and Accounts)
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in bank guarantee management and liaison with banks.
- Strong knowledge of banking products, including letters of credit, bank guarantees, and trade finance/Term Loan.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to negotiate effectively.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
- Proficiency in financial software and MS Office.
